The Kendrick House was built in 1745 the original paneling and early wall papers are interesting features. Furnishings dating from the 18th and 19 centuries, paintings by local artist Charles Sidney Raleigh and Maritime artifacts. Captain Kendrick lead an expedition to China via the Northwest Coast in 1787 and was the first American to attempt opening trade with Japan. Open by appointment only. Admission adults $2, children under 12 free.
